RIDE Japan Design House
In January 2019 RIDE moved our entire design team to live and work at the base of a mountain in Hakuba, Japan. We rented a house, built a studio in the garage, and got to work. Most of the RIDE staff and team rotated through the house at some point in the winter. The entire product line was inspired by this unique place, the unique culture of Japan, and by some of the most amazing snowboarders and people in the world. Never before has a product line been designed in this way, and we will be telling this story to you before a single graphic is released.

A graphic inspired by the elusive Kamushka found in the deep woodlands of Japan.
The Wildlife is a do everything directional board. The directional hybrid rocker profile has camber underfoot for snap and response. The nose has a little more rocker in the tail for effortless turn initiation and float in soft snow. The Quadratic Sidecut improves stability and edge hold. Slimewalls® provide a smoother ride by damping out high speed vibrations and increasing durability. Topless construction improves durability and reduces weight. The graphic of this board was inspired by our time in Japan last season and features the kamushka or Japanese Serow. The kamushka is a goat-antelope like animal found only in Japan's dense woodlands. Lucky snowboarders will see them from time to time in Japan's side country. The softer flex and rocker profile give this board a versatile, all-mountain ride suitable for all levels of riders.

The A-10 packs all of Ride's proprietary technology into the most advanced binding in the world. This is our high performance model designed for the most demanding snowboarders. If you liked the El Hefe, you will LOVE the A-10. The all new A-Series Aluminum Chassis provides the reactive flex and power transfer of aluminum with less rigidity than previous designs. The 2 piece design allow for toe heel centering and a perfect fit for every boot size. The Carbon Slimeback™ Highback provides the response of carbon fiber with the damping of urethane for unmatched performance. The Three-Piece Ankle Strap combines foam and two different density plastics for comfort, durability, and performance. Available with an aluminum mount disc and a composite mount disc for versatility. The aluminum disc will feel more aggressive, while the composite disc will allow the binding slightly more flex underfoot. The canted footbed aligns your joints with a 2.5 degree angle while providing more leverage over the tip and tail of your board. Integrated rubber pods make for an even smoother ride. The TPU basepad damps out high-speed vibrations. The A-10 is designed for high-end performance and a very precise ride.
