    CONSTRUCTION:

  • Hempbrain
  • Slimewalls®
  • Fusion 4000
  • Hybrid Glass
  • TUNED CORE

Highrize™

Highrize™

Our most acute rocker profile with a slightly higher rocker in the nose than the tail and is nearly flat under foot.

Hempbrain

Hempbrain

Using less material by eliminating the traditional plastic top completely, Ride’s Hemp top sheet is lighter and stronger, and is made from an easily renewable resource that requires little processing. Hemp is fast growing, requires no irrigation or pesticides, and helps clean up toxins from the ground.

Slimewalls®

Slimewalls®

Ride’s exclusive Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls® smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may Ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.

      Comments about Ride Snowboards Slackcountry:

This is my one board I use when i do seasons in japan, the flat platform under foot still carves really well on groomers especially when you set your stance forward of recommended and make it a twin tip, set the bindings back and it's a powder weapon, i've been out on 120cm dump days and as long as you keep momentum it floats like a dream.
I wouldn't hesitate to get another one in the future.

I never had a combination of board and bindings as nice as the Slackcountry with the Nitrane Contraband.
I never felt so save on a combination as this one.

          Comments about Ride Snowboards Slackcountry:

Ride, you've out done yourselves! Kudos!! I live in Alaska and we have had one of the most epic snow years in recent memory - over 300 inches in the first 2 weeks of febuary, and this board has been sooooo money! I bought the 168 and kinda was second guessing buyin the big dog at first, but I'm so glad I did! These boards are so light and responsive that it feels like my 161! This board eats up the chop so steezy it's unreal, and the float in the powder is absolutley epic!! I'm suprised y'all bill it as just a pow board, this thing is an all mountain destroyer, it's as solid on the groomers as it is on a waist deep day! Keep making this board!!!

            Comments about Ride Snowboards Slackcountry:

Rode the 161 for a day in about 15cm of fresh at about -3 celcius temp and this board killed it all. Super fast on the groomers, soft and fun in the pow, stable at speed. Holes? lean back and the reverse camber pops right over'em. Towards the end of the day it was used up pow and this thing plowed through it all with little effort and no deflection. Kick butt board all the way. Might be interesting on real hardpack though.

              Comments about Ride Snowboards Slackcountry:

Riding pow, and jumping into it pretty much sums up snowboarding for me. I managed to do some jumping on the thing and it's got plenty of pop. The board doesn't have so much reverse camber that you can't ollie.

Another thing that i noticed right away was landing. At Snoqualmie there's a bowl on the right side of the Pacific Crest chairlift. Towards the top there's a bit of an edge that you can jump off. It's nothing special but if you haul off it, you can clear some distance. The landing however was completely tore up–traverse lines all up and down it. I hit it 4 times and just kept going faster, landing farther and landing going faster. It's like once you get used to the board and it's ability to blow through chopped up pow you just start bombing. I don't think i'd do that on my normal board.
