A waterproof/breathable film with a micro porous polyurethane coating that shuts out water from the outside, while allowing moisture from the body to escape creating a protective barrier to keep your hands warm and dry.
Aquapel by Nano-Tex is the next generation in fabric protection. Aquapel™ is an invisible water-repellent finish that permanently attaches to the fibers in the fabric (actually becomes a part of the fabric), as opposed to simply coating the surface. Water will bead up and roll off. Each Aquapel™ fabric has its own unique recipe, especially formulated for the construction and weave of that specific fabric. No cookie cutter approach here!
DWR (Durable Water Repellency) fabric protection is an invisible water-repellent finish applied to the outer shell of every garment. Rather than soaking into the fibers, water beads up on the surface area and rolls off. Without DWR, your jacket and pant would feel like a wet dishrag no matter how expensive it was. DWR is used on all Ride outerwear.

Comments about Ride Snowboards Stellar Glove:
Fits great, looks sharp. Thick insulation provides some protection from falls. However, the waterproof insert is not very breathable. Soaked with sweat so I washed after use. Took 2 days to hang dry because the moisture from the inside couldn't escape!!!
My Gore-tex glove dried overnight in comparison. Luckily I paid very little for it...
