Comments about Ride Snowboards Ninja:
I take the green one, large for my 59cm head. Fit fine for me.
The most impressive thing is the weight.
And the fur on the ear speakers is so comfortable.
So stylish with my old Georgetown jacket (orange, blue and brown) and a blue Belltown pant!
Just little hard to find here in France for testing it, as yours outerwear products.

Comments about Ride Snowboards Ninja:
I just got the slime version of this helmet, size medium. My head is 55 cm and the helmet fits comfortably without tightening it down, so if you want to be able to wear a beanie under the helmet you will want to go a size up. The color is darker and less yellow than it is in the picture. The padding is excellent but the speaker coverings can be just a little bit scratchy. I like the sound quality, you get what you pay for. Personally I think the skull candy system sounds better but this helmet comes with its sound system, doesn't require any set up and is cheaper than most skull candy setups. I really like this helmet, I just recommend going up a larger size if you want to wear something underneath.

Comments about Ride Snowboards Ninja:
I am a causal rider but have hit my head so many times that it was time to get a helmet. I was concerned that I would not be comfortable but I barely notice that I have it on. The audio works very well but the wiring came apart the first time out (Ride sent me a new kit in 2 weeks). The only problem I have now is a lost trim piece (inside liner) and CS says no replacements available. Hopefully this get resolved.

Comments about Ride Snowboards Ninja:
I loved the look of this helmet. So, I measured my head, 58 cm and ordered an orange ninja (size L). The helmet was not wearable (painful) with the ear speakers in place. So, I took those out. Now it was wearable and almost comfortable. OK, I can live without the audio I paid for. But then, the first time I unsnapped the ear covers, two of the snaps broke. So back it went.
I ordered a second ninja (size L again) hoping the first unit was a bad sample. The second helmet fit worse than the first. Even after removing the audio speakers, it was way too tight and even more painful to wear than the first sample.
So, to sum it up, I found that these Ride Ninja helmets do not fit true to size. There are significant manufacturing variations (fit) from sample to sample. And it was poorly assembled based on the immediate failure of the ear pad snaps. Stay away from this helmet. The great looks don't mean much if you can't wear it.

this helmet is awesome! i wear a medium and its like it hugs my head and is soft. you dont need to wear anything underneath because its so warm. its super light but gets preassure dents in it if u push hard on it (just like a surfboard) but it looks sweet and the audio feature is awesome. i can listen to tunes and get a phone call !

Merchant response: Hi NE Skier! Sorry you hear you had a bad experience last winter. The good news is that we have completely re-tooled this helmet, with a brand new shape and fit and we completely changed the way the earpads snap into the helmet. Also - now the speakers are securely held in an integrated frame that is stiched into the earpads (other earpad designs can allow the speakers to float around and get out of position). I hope you get the chance to try the all-new Ninja for 2012/13 as I think you will be very impressed by the fit and function improvements. As a 58cm, you would want to be in a Medium Ninja in the new 2012/13 construction. Take Care! - Nigel Steere
